Fay has worked with survivors of sexual violence and abuse since 1996, when she was appointed Manager of RoSA (Rape or Sexual Abuse Support) in Rugby. Fay helped to establish The Survivors Trust (TST) in 2003 as a UK and Ireland network of specialist voluntary sector rape and sexual abuse support services. As Chief Executive, Fay attends a wide range of national groups and forums aimed at addressing institutional responses to survivors of child sexual abuse and rape. In 2015, Fay was appointed to the Victims and Survivors Consultative Panel for the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, which provides feedback and advice to the Inquiry around engagement with survivors and Inquiry research projects.

After serving as a councillor in Havering, and later as a London Assembly member – during which time he led the Conservative group – Bob was elected as the Member of Parliament for Bromley & Chislehurst in a by-election in June 2006, following the sudden death of The Rt. Hon. Eric Forth.

Shortly after entering Parliament, Bob served on the Justice Select Committee and was appointed as the Shadow London Minister, joining the Shadow Communities & Local Government team. In 2008 he was made Shadow Local Government Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party. In January 2009, Bob also took over the shadow planning brief.

In May 2010, Bob was elected for a second term as MP for Bromley & Chislehurst. He served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Communities and Local Government until September 2012, with responsibilities for the Fire Service, Thames Gateway, the Olympics, local government and planning. In September 2012, he was made Vice Chairman of the Conservative party for Local Government.

Bob was re-elected for a third term in May 2015, shortly after which he was elected on a cross-party basis as Chairman of Parliament’s Justice Select Committee. Following the General Election on 8 June 2017, he was returned by his colleagues to this important role.

Bob is a Master of the Bench at the Middle Temple Inn, and continues to chair a number of All Party Parliamentary Groups in Westminster, including the APPG for London and APPG for Gibraltar.

Nick joined the Met in 1998 and has served in a number of roles in uniform and CID. Following 8 years in the Met Nick moved to Wiltshire where he moved through the ranks to Superintendent and undertook roles such as Head of Crime and Area Commander with North and West Wiltshire. In 2015 Nick moved to Thames Valley Police where he was the Head of Serious and Organised Crime and Public Protection before moving to the Borough Commander of Reading, overseeing critical incidents such as the 2020 terrorist attack in Forbury Gardens.

On promotion to the rank of Commander Nick moved back to the Met in 2022 to take up a Chief Officer post as the head of Criminal Justice and the MPS lead for victims.

In addition to a range of operational roles, from response to neighbourhoods, to CID and specialist detective roles, Nick has also been involved in supporting development and leadership across policing. This has led to Nick being appointed as the NPCC lead for Leadership across policing.

Michaela is Head of Safer Communities in East Sussex, leading on the implementation of the pan-Sussex Domestic and Sexual Violence Strategies and the commissioning of specialist community and accommodation-based services in the county. Before joining the authority two years ago, Michaela spent a quarter decade in the third sector, delivering domestic abuse services and specialist substance misuse services for women and their children. A passionate advocate for the right of all victims and survivors to the highest quality services, Michaela is unwavering in her commitment to a vision of a future free from domestic and sexual violence and abuse.

Passionate about making the right kind of difference, Anne has enjoyed a demanding and varied career spanning the private, public and now voluntary sectors.  It began in local newspaper journalism, a grounding that she will say laid solid foundations for what was to follow.

A pioneer of police media and public engagement whilst working for three police forces, Anne was one of the first journalists to head up media and PR for the Police. She is the founding Chair of the Association of Police Communicators.

Anne travelled extensively whilst working for British Energy plc (now part of EDF) representing the electricity generator and sector at the UN climate change conferences in Kyoto and Buenos Aires.  As part of the BE public affairs team, she was a regular commuter to Brussels and Paris.

Initially volunteering to accompany the young victims of the 2005 London bombings to Disney World, Florida, Anne always believed that Child Victims of Crime (as it was known then) could develop to support the majority of young victims of crime who needed help to recover. That journey continues.

Anne has a Masters degree in mass communications from the University of Leicester and was elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts in 2019.

Her interests include her dressage horse, adventure travelling – she has twice trekked the Himalayas for the charity and crossed the Andes on horseback for the British Horse Society – watching films and bell-ringing.

Ben is Victim Support’s Children and Young People National Lead. His role is to lead the effective development of operational policy and best practice, enabling innovation and continual improvement across Victim Support’s services for children and young people affected by crime and trauma. As CYP National Lead, Ben also brings the voices of children and young people into service design and development. Ben is also a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Birmingham, exploring sibling relationships in the context and aftermath of domestic violence and abuse.

Faith Geary is the Chief Operating Officer of The Parole Board for England & Wales.

Faith’s role centres on the day to day running of the Parole Board Secretariat, ensuring that Parole Board Members have the support needed to make decisions and that victims and the wider public have confidence in the parole process.

Over the last seven years Faith has led large scale transformation; most notably the digital transformation of the Parole Board from paper-based processes to more modern digital systems and introduction of new approaches that have increased transparency for victims and the public about parole decision making. She has worked closely with the Ministry of Justice to inform a number of major reviews of the parole system since 2018, including the Root and Branch Review of the Parole System published in Spring 2022.

Angela has 30 years’ experience working for the Probation Service and CJS following a successful early career in the private sector. As Chief Executive of the South Wales Probation Trust, Angela was part of the team which merged the four former Probation Areas into a single Welsh Service before moving to Cheshire Probation Trust as CEO.

In 2014 Angela took up post as Divisional Director for the new National Probation Service for the South West South Central Division. Angela is now responsible for South West Region under the unified Probation structures alongside her national responsibilities for work in prisons, with the Parole Board, families and significant others and for resettlement.

Before joining PHSO, Rebecca was the Chief Legal Officer and then Chief Executive Officer of the Equality and Human Rights Commission. Previously, after holding a number of roles in the then Government Legal Service, she was the CEO for five years of LawWorks (the Solicitors Pro Bono Group), a national charity facilitating free legal advice to community groups and individuals in need. She trained as a lawyer and began her career at Linklaters. She set up the National Pro Bono Centre in Chancery Lane and has sat on the boards of a number of charities and advice agencies, including the Bar Pro Bono Unit and the Mary Ward Legal Centre. She has established two schools and is currently the Chair of the Governing Body of the London Academy of Excellence in Tottenham. She holds two honorary doctorates awarded in recognition of services to law.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
