Course Summary

The Department for Education (DfE) published new statutory guidance: Working together to safeguard children in December 2023. The guidance sets out some fundamental changes that will directly influence multi-agency working arrangements and practice. Significantly it provides clear guidance on what effective multi-agency collaboration and practice should look like at all levels.

Our timely Multi-Agency Working to Safeguard Children online training course provides guidance on the changes to help you understand what this means for you, your partnership, organisation, or agency. It will also help you consider how this approach can be applied in your organisation to ensure a consistent approach.

This course provides an opportunity to clarify the roles and responsibilities of safeguarding partners and how local multi-agency safeguarding arrangements work to protect children. It will distinguish between new descriptors for Lead Safeguarding Partners (LSPs) and Delegated Safeguarding Partners (DSPs).

This training is important for leaders, managers and frontline practitioners of all organisations and agencies who work with children and families. It is also important for organisations and agencies that are adult-facing to appreciate the importance of a ‘child-centred approach within a whole family focus’.

Our expert trainers will deepen your understanding of the new Principles for Practice, Multi-Agency Child Protection Standards and expectations for multi-agency working and provide guidance on the changes.

Take this opportunity to discuss effective multi-agency working and what can make a difference in this interactive course.
