Westminster Insight is delighted to announce its practical, informative, and strategy-led, ESG and Sustainability Reporting Conference, taking place in London in November.
The Government is preparing to make the new UK Sustainability Reporting Standards (UK SRS) mandatory for listed companies. This key shift, from voluntary to mandatory, is driven by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Join our timely event to hear directly from the FCA, whose conclusions on the proposals for regulation will be published in the Autumn.
Marking a significant change in corporate reporting in the UK, the new mandatory reporting requirements are due to take effect from January 2027: regulation of the ESG ratings sector come into force in 2028, with the application window opening in June 2027.
You will gain useful learning about this important regulation through a rich mixture of keynotes, best practice spotlights, joint sessions, and panels; including insights from Mark Manning, from the IFRS Foundation and ISSB, and Ravi Abeywardana, from the ICAEW, who will examine how to transition and how to turn climate commitments into reportable strategy.
The SRS S1 and UK SRS S2, for voluntary adoption, were published earlier this year. What does the framework mean for smaller and medium-sized businesses? Andrew Griffiths, from the Carbon Accounting Allliance (CAA) and Planet Mark, and Daniel Altman, from the We Mean Business Coalition will share insights and guidance.
Other invaluable sessions focus on key considerations, such as investor relations: what is key from their perspective? What does successful Board governance look like, in terms of embedding sustainability reporting successfully within your organisation; and how do you avoid compliance failures? You will hear about this and much more.
With organisations, the Government, and much of society now recognising the ever-increasing importance of sustainability, and with this reflected in policy, there has never been a more vital time to understand how to successfully develop and manage your ESG reporting strategy.
So please join us, as we bring together the crucial experts including the regulator, policy makers, large, medium and small companies at the forefront of implementation, and more. Together, we will explore the latest regulatory updates, and you will benefit from a unique mix of learning and innovation from senior specialists, practitioners, and successful adopters.
You will have the opportunity to engage with peers, from cross-cutting sectors and hear how sustainability reporting drives business growth by transforming ESG data into strategic insight. We look forward to seeing you there.
