​Anees is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner with over 25 years’ experience in housing and regeneration, energy efficiency, and fuel poverty. He is a member of the CIEH Housing Advisory Panel​. Anees has led the delivery of over £300m of funding through housing retrofit schemes across Greater Manchester, overseen procurement of a £1 billion national Net Zero Housing Retrofit Framework Agreement, and supported delivery of the Local Net Zero Accelerator retrofit workstream. He is currently collaborating with the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance and the University of Manchester on an Embodied Carbon Calculator and the use of bio-based materials for retrofit and new build.​​​

Brian Berry is the Chief Executive of the Federation of Master Builders. He is also a member of the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) and Chair of the CLC Domestic Repair Maintenance & Improvement Working Group which published the ‘National Retrofit Strategy’. Prior to his current position Brian was Director of External Affairs at the FMB with responsibility for UK and EU policy, public affairs and media relations. Before the FMB, he worked at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), where he was Head of UK Public Policy.

Nigel is the insulation installer lead on the PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 steering groups, collating and representing industry views on the development of standards, and sits on several bodies, including the CLC People and Skills Working Group, the Government Green Jobs Taskforce, and the Optimised Skills for Retrofit Working Group in Wales.

​He led the development of Insulation and Building Treatments Occupational Standards across the insulation sector and ensured that these are mirrored across the mandatory technical competencies required for the Competent Persons Schemes (CPS) and Working Group 2 for high-risk residential buildings.  More recently, under Nigel’s leadership, The IAAF has been responsible for commissioning research into Labour Market Intelligence, a career pathway paper for the retrofit sector and the development of the level 2 and 3 insulation operative and technician apprenticeships.  The organisation is currently developing a sector skills strategy for the industry​.

The launch of the organisation’s National Energy Efficiency Centre as a partnership between industry and the education sector has helped further evidence the organisation’s commitment to improving the competence of the sector.​

Stew Horne is Group Head of Sector Intelligence and External Affairs at Energy Saving Trust and leads their Sector Intelligence centre of excellence. A key part of his role is increasing Energy Saving Trust’ influence and visibility by using its insight and impact across a broad range of sectors linked by the climate emergency.

Before joining Energy Saving Trust Stew led Citizens Advice’s Energy Infrastructure team representing the needs of British Consumers and as part of this role represented European consumers on the ENTSO-E advisory board for BEUC (The European consumers’ association). He’s also worked in energy vulnerability at Britain’s energy regulator Ofgem and held several consumer policy focussed roles in the UK civil service. Stew is also a member of National Grid Transmission’s Independent Stakeholder and a Consumer Affairs advisor to the Bar Standards Board in the UK.

Pete McNeill is Head of Retrofit at CSE, leading major retrofit programmes across the South West. Since joining in 2017, he has built deep expertise in supporting vulnerable households, fuel‑poverty initiatives and delivering high‑quality retrofit services. He provides senior leadership to the Retrofit team, strengthens supply‑chain relationships, and specialises in integrating technical systems to enhance advice and assessment services. A qualified Retrofit Assessor with over 15 years’ environmental‑sector experience, he is a confident and sought‑after presenter on energy efficiency, renewables and grid management.

​Fallon is a highly experienced housing and community sector professional with more than 25 years’ experience across the private and social housing sectors. Passionate about sustainability, asset management and creating high-quality homes, she brings a strong track record of developing and delivering strategies that improve both property performance and customer outcomes. Throughout her career, Fallon has led complex asset management and sustainability programmes, combining strategic thinking with practical delivery to achieve high-performing outcomes. Her expertise spans portfolio optimisation, decarbonisation, energy efficiency, retrofit and long-term asset investment, with a particular focus on finding effective solutions for hard-to-treat homes and challenging housing stock​. Fallon has played a key role in the development and delivery of major decarbonisation and retrofit programmes, securing investment, building effective partnerships and embedding customer-focused approaches into programme delivery. She is particularly passionate about ensuring that sustainability and asset investment deliver tangible benefits for residents, including improved energy efficiency, reduced energy demand, healthier homes and greater resilience to future climate challenges​. With a collaborative and outcomes-focused approach, Fallon is committed to driving innovation, improving portfolio performance and supporting the housing sector to deliver sustainable, resilient and future-ready homes for customers and communities​.​​
