Kirsty Squires is an experienced public sector data protection officer and information governance manager. With over twelve years in the public sector in Data Protection and Information Governance, she has worked for a number of local government organisations supporting development of shared services, improvement of organisational information management, and local government reorganisation from an IG and data protection perspective.

She now works as an independent consultant to support a number of SMEs, voluntary and public sector organisations with their data protection and information management needs including as a remote DPO and trainer. Kirsty’s background and experience in data protection, information management, is complimented by her project management and business analysis skill set, as all good DPO’s love a plan.

Katherine is a HR and L&D Specialist with more than 20 years’ experience across FTSE 250 companies, SMEs, and public sector organisations. A qualified HR coach and mentor, and a CMI-approved leadership and management facilitator, she supports individuals in key roles to become more effective while strengthening HR excellence, organisational capability, and governance.

Katherine delivers practical, engaging, and compliant training that helps organisations manage people effectively and reduce risk. Her expertise includes HR team development and compliance, employment practices, leadership development, performance management, conflict resolution, and organisational improvement. She is experienced in translating complex requirements into clear, practical guidance that can be applied confidently in the workplace.

Now working as an independent HR and L&D consultant, Katherine supports primary care organisations, healthcare providers, social housing organisations, and growing businesses to implement and improve their HR practices and governance.
