The Curriculum and Assessment Review covering qualification pathways from primary through to 16-19 has now concluded. The Review’s recommendations aim to create a system that works for every learner, with a stronger focus on inclusivity and future-ready skills. With a three-year programme of change ahead, how can schools and colleges prepare?
Join Westminster Insight’s Curriculum and Assessment Review Conference to hear directly from national and local education leaders including members of the Curriculum and Assessment Review Panel. We will share the next steps towards a new curriculum including insight into the final curriculum due in Spring 2027. Gain practical takeaways and strategies for delivering a broad, balanced, and high-quality curriculum across all key stages.
Our event will spotlight key proposals including:
Adapting the curriculum and teaching to better support learners with SEND and those from disadvantaged backgrounds
Placing greater emphasis on skills and subjects such as artificial intelligence, environmental science, media literacy, and critical thinking
Removing EBacc performance measures to reduce high-stakes accountability and stress, while retaining Progress 8 and Attainment 8
Strengthening vocational qualifications and introducing new pathways alongside T Levels, including potential new V Levels
We’ll explore how these changes will impact every key stage and educational setting, offering opportunities to reduce assessment burden, enhance teaching and learning, and improve curriculum balance.
Stay ahead of the changes, join us to gain the insight and tools you need to shape a future-focused curriculum and assessment system.
In-person – The conference will take place in London, venue to be confirmed shortly.
