AI in Recruitment Workshop

Anthony Rafferty is Professor of Employment Studies at Alliance Manchester Business School and Director of the Work and Equalities Institute. He is also a member of the Executive Team of The Productivity Institute (TPI), a UK-wide research initiative. His current research explores how AI and digitalisation are changing HR and reshaping its role in organisational digital transformation. Anthony has published widely in leading international journals and works closely with organisations to turn research into practical responses to workplace challenges. As Chair of this conference on AI and recruitment, he brings extensive expertise on the links between people, technology, and organisational performance. He has also undertaken advisory and research consultancy roles for organisations including the UN International Labour Organisation (ILO), the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES), Eurofound, the UK Research Council, and the House of Commons Work and Pensions Select Committee.

Caroline Callaghan is a Senior Policy Officer in the Regulatory Policy Projects Department of the ICO. She writes data protection guidance for organisations and was involved in drafting Part 3 right of access guidance and assisted in drafting UK GDPR right of access guidance.

She is experienced in advising on information rights and other regulatory issues. In previous roles, she advised public sector organisations on policy and legal matters. She has also worked in the private and not-for-profit sectors.

Riham Satti is a neuroscientist-turned-entrepreneur and Co-Founder & CEO of MeVitae, an Oxford-based technology company redefining how organisations make critical people decisions through responsible AI. Under her leadership, MeVitae has scaled rapidly, supporting global clients across multiple industries. A TEDx and keynote speaker, Riham is a recognised voice on artificial intelligence, the future of work, and technology strategy, regularly speaking on international stages. She has mentored founders through leading institutions including University College London and London Business School, as well as top accelerator programmes. She holds a background in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Neuroscience (Oxford), and contributes to strategic initiatives at the intersection of technology and innovation, including roles with techUK and the University of Exeter.

​Benjamin is a partner and workplace privacy specialist at Lewis Silkin, where he advises on regulatory investigations, DSARs, AI in the workplace, and employee monitoring rules across the UK and Europe. He leads data protection support for the firm’s M&A practice, offering fast-paced, practical advice throughout the transaction lifecycle and managing post-deal remediation projects. Benjamin acts as lead data protection counsel for major international clients, including global technology companies and retailers, advising on everything from AI risk assessments and GDPR rights to high-profile data breaches and commercial disputes.​​

​A seasoned technologist, thought-leader, international speaker and inclusive practices expert with over 25+ years of experience across public and private sectors. Bola’s unique perspective combines her technical expertise and people skills to advise senior leaders in embedding inclusive practices into core business as well as the adoption of responsible AI through effective governance and ethical considerations.
