Conducting Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) requires a diverse range of expertise across multi-agency partners.

Our safeguarding expert, Mick Haggar, will explain the requirements for Safeguarding Adults Reviews under the Care Act.
This course will clarify the relevant legal frameworks surrounding SARs, and discuss your duties in response to serious harm incidents. Gain clarity on roles and functions, processes, and governance of SARs. Build on the skills required to meet SAR quality standards, and challenge common biases that can impact decision making.

Mick Hagger, Safeguarding Adults Trainer
Mick Hagger has over 30 years’ experience in social care, including an Approved Social Worker, BIA and has a detailed knowledge of the latest legal and national policy context of Safeguarding Adults. Mick has experience as the lead Safeguarding Coordinator for Adult Services. He has written and delivered a broad range of professional safeguarding adults training courses.
Mick has been the Lead Reviewer and Author of numerous Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SARs), under Section 44 of the Care Act 2014. He trained with SCIE in 2016 to use the Learning Together methodology to undertake SARs.
