Event Summary

This year Westminster Insight’s SEND Digital Conference will focus on the new local area SEND inspection framework, to be introduced in early 2023.

Further to the recent consultation from Ofsted and the CQC, A new approach to area SEND inspections, ensure you are up to date with the proposed changes. Gain insights on how to prepare and plan for future inspections and what the changes mean for you and your organisation.

You will learn from best practice guidance to help you improve your outcomes for children and young people with SEND. Explore how you can engage with children and young people with SEND and their families to embed their voices and feedback in your services and prepare for the new framework.

Under the proposals, inspectors will evaluate how well members of a local area partnership work together to improve the experiences and outcomes of children and young people with SEND. How are expectations for local authorities, education, health and care partners changing? How will the criteria, ratings, frequency and timing of inspections change? Attend this event to plan for changes to accountability and discuss who is responsible for what moving forward.

How are the new inspections aligned with the Government’s recent SEND Green Paper? Against a backdrop of wider system reform, hear a panel of senior experts discuss what is next for policy, investment, and funding in the SEND landscape.

Learn how to establish local and national SEND partnerships to develop consistent standards across England. Virtually connect with peers to prepare for future developments to SEND provision.

This conference is for professionals and practitioners involved in the commissioning and delivery of services to children and young people with SEND including local authorities, health and care partners, education professionals from all types of schools including academies, primary and secondary schools, further education, SEND and alternative provision
