Course Leader

Mark Egan has worked in politics for 25 years, including more than 10 years supporting the work of select committees in the House of Commons. He was clerk of the Transport Select Committee for 4 years and of the Joint Committee on Human Rights for 3 years. In addition, he has substantial experience working with legislation and parliamentary questions as well as with the corporate leadership of both Houses of Parliament. From 2015 to 2022 he was at the heart of politics in Jersey, running the Island’s parliament, advising its ministers and overseeing Jersey’s elections law. He is now working with a number of governments on governance matters and helping politicians manage conflict and disagreement.
