Event Summary

Since 2014, the government has invested over £2.3 billion in AI. Consequently, there has been an explosion of AI-related activity across businesses, academia, and civil society.

This has made Artificial Intelligence (AI) the new frontier for innovation and technology within the UK. Due to AI’s potential to revolutionise every aspect of our lives, there are strong incentives from government and industry to unlock the enormous benefits AI offers for the economy and wider society.

In response, the UK has committed to further strengthen its position as a global AI leader since the release of the National AI Strategy. This action plan sets out three core missions:

  1. Ensuring the UK continues to lead in research, development, commercialisation, and deployment of AI
  2. Ensuring all sectors and regions benefit from the transformative power of AI
  3. Ensuring ethnical and effective governance of AI development and deployment

Westminster Insight’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Conference will bring together national updates, learnings, and best practice from the practical application of AI within the UK.

Gain practical updates on how the National AI Strategy is currently being delivered. How are we currently investing in AI and machine learning capabilities? How are we spreading the benefits of AI across the UK? What practical governance tools and standards are available to ensure the ethical and safe deployment of AI?

Learn directly from sector trailblazers who are innovative in their real-world applications of AI and machine learning.

Gain best practice in deploying AI to manage “big data” and automate data and predictive analysis. Learn how AI is reducing costs across local government functions and services. Hear how machine learning is augmenting the work of neurosurgeons within the NHS.
