Amanda Naylor OBE has 25 years of specialist practice focused on the most under-served children and adolescents experiencing abuse, trauma and exploitation across the UK and internationally.
Her career began as a frontline detached youth worker in North of England and her career has seen her lead statutory and voluntary multi-agency programmes and large scale national and international children’s rights focused initiatives.
Currently Amanda is CEO at Manchester Youth Zone, leading programmes that work with over 1,000 North Manchester children every week including open access youth work; street based detached work; serious youth violence programs; and mental health provision.
Prior to this Amanda designed and implemented the nationally commended ‘See, Hear Respond’ COVID-19 response service; led the delivery of Barnardo’s UK Strategy on child sexual abuse, serious youth violence and criminal exploitation work; whilst at Victim Support developed the national child victim and witness services across England and Wales.
Amanda is a Trustee at Respond (clinical governance portfolio), sits on NOTA Advisory Board, NWG policy forum, and National Advisory Board at Action for Children.
