Event Summary
The Government has recently announced changes to apprenticeships, with the new Growth and Skills Levy and apprenticeship funding rule changes from April 2026. With the publication of the 2025 Post-16 Education and Skills White Paper, the Government plans to move to a joined-up skills and employment system ensuring that apprenticeships are better aligned with employer needs and labour-market demand.
What do the reforms mean for learners, employers, and training providers across England?
Attend Westminster Insight’s popular The Future of Apprenticeships Conference in Manchester on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 to hear about the reforms.
From April 2026, the Growth and Skills Levy will fund flexible training courses and short modular units. These apprenticeship units are designed to give employers more flexibility and responsiveness in training their workforce, especially in “priority skills” sectors like Digital Technologies, Adult Social Care, Construction and Engineering. Learn how to make the most of the new Growth and Skills Levy, understand future developments for the levy, and how to adapt to the changes.
Gain clarity and question the experts on the changes to the 2025-2026 funding rules, the Growth and Skills Levy and the new flexibility it introduces. We will discuss the removal of qualification barriers, and the policy shift refocusing funding away from Level 7 (masters-level) apprenticeships to prioritise Level 2–5 apprenticeships in key sectors.
Bringing together 150 policymakers, providers, and employers, this timely conference will explore what’s next for apprenticeships. Join us at this crucial event in Manchester to connect, learn and shape the future of apprenticeships.
