Event Summary

Bringing together local authorities and air quality partners, join Westminster Insight’s Improving Air Quality Conference as we discuss the framework for local authority delivery, and next steps to achieve the Government’s air quality goals, including the new PM2.5 targets.

Sir Stephen Holgate, a leading expert in air pollutants and UKRI Clean Air Champion, will discuss future legislation, unpack the Air Quality Strategy and discuss recommendations on the road to Net Zero 2030.

Local Authorities are expected to develop and maintain effective Air Quality Strategies and those with declared Local Air Quality Management Areas must take proactive measures via Air Quality Action Plans (AQAPs).

We will discuss solutions, including the introduction of Clean Air Zones and Low Emission Zones to tackle NO2 hotspots, and the challenges of implementation.

Chaired by Dr Gary Fuller, UKRI Clean Air Champion, attend this event to hear from best practice case studies and industry experts. Network with colleagues from local authorities and partners and discuss solutions for improving air quality at local level.
